The very first West Coast Rubber kicked off in Palm Springs back in 2005. L8XDad and L8XBoy came back from Mid Atlantic Leather that year and decided that we needed something like that for us rubber kinksters on the West Coast. The response was unbelievable. Over 100 rubbered up guys descended on Palm Springs for the Labor Day event. And before you ask the obvious, yes it's hot in Palm Springs in September. That's why we planned pool parties and lots of nightime events. Plus we like to slip and slide in our sweaty rubber!
In 2006 we added a couple of new and fun events at the instigation of the über-kinks from the Lone Star Rubber Corps - the Grassy Knoll Vac Rack a Thon and the Rubber Penetration to end the weekend where we all gear up one last time and go to the movies followed by dinner. What a blast!
2007 goes down as the sexiest event of all time. We used a clothing-optional hotel as our base and had not one, not two, but three separate play parties around (and in) the pool. It just didn't stop all weekend!
The event continues to grow and evolve. In 2008 we moved everything to Los Angeles and made the Eagle LA our home base. We like to mix it up each year but typically you can expect to enjoy the Rubber Meat n Greet, the Horn Dog Play Party, the Full Gear Dinner (everone's favorite!), the Slip n Slide Slime Pit and of course the Mr West Coast Rubber Contest. The winner from WCR goes on to compete in Chicago at the over the top Mr International Rubber contest. Oh, and tons and tons of hot rubber fun, cruising and hanging with new and old friends.
2009 is in the works but you can absolutely expect to see the same kind of kinky, geared-up, fetish-soaked events you love. Plus we do the Winter Warm Up in February at the sexy Helios Resort in Palm Springs and we throw Rubber Play Parties throughout the year just to keep the rubber cravings under control. Don't forget to look for us at Rub Out at the Eagle LA on the third Friday of every month. Vac Rack anyone?
